How many of you blokes have the service manual for your bike so you can do your own servicing / repairs etc? I went to the local stealership to buy one after they did the second service at 12 months and they kept trying to give me an owners manual, had to be very specific that I had one of those, I wanted the full service manual. They didn't have a service manual for my 2019 model softail in stock or even in the country. I ordered it just over a month ago now and it still hasn't shown up. Makes me think that no-one gets them anymore? And i would understand at just over $200.

hey mate,  bought the factory service manual for my bike - 17' Street Glide, cost $88 which I thought was actually good value. I had to wait about 4 - 6 wks from memory also.
I've been considering buying the electrical manual also, haven't as yet though, suspect prices may have risen based on how much you paid.

You should be aware to get a PDF version and online. That's what I use.

Yeah, find it on line, download, save a copy on your desktop PC and your mobile. Print it all out in colour & make a nice A4 RingGrip folder for it.
Having a service manual is the best maintenance tool you can have.

Yeah, I gotta source an online one, the old paperback manual is getting really oily and very dog eared, I'm a messy cunt with oily finger prints everywhere.

    No it isn't...
Parts catalogs, owners manuals and plenty of other information available but service manuals you need a subscription. Not sure if that applies to all bikes but certainly late model ones.

I always buy a service manual and a parts manual. I'd rather a book when my hands are dirty.

Yep, workshop manual is  a must. Not the little owners manual that comes with your bike, though that is better than nothing.
For my new 2008 bike the manual was about a hundred bucks and is very comprehensive.

Well on Tuesday when I went in it still hadn't arrived and they couldn't tell me where it was. Going to go in over the weekend and get my money back. Could've ordered it from the states myself and got it cheaper and quicker than this...
