Honda CB 750 custom

Being someone who has a bit of a soft spot for old Honda 750 fours, I have been following the build of this locally made "Steampunk" style custom for some time.
Steampunk is probably not a style you would normally associate with bikes and the guy who built this copped
SHIT
from purists on the honda four forum in the US when he started posting about his build. Eventually he turned them (the naysayers) around with his determination of what he wanted to make.
He pretty well made everything himself that is not standard.
Top job I reckon.
Seems he knows his way around a camera to boot!.

The bike is called "Douglas"and is a tribute to the blokes grand dad who was a pilot in WW2. The studs in the seat upholstery are actually little medallions his grandfather got awarded for being in the war and doing what he did.
The bike has got soul.
A few years ago I was watching all the "Toy run" bikes rolling into Salamanca place in Hobart where it finishes (they get about 6 thousand bikes here in the toy run) and his first custom caught my eye out of all of them.
It was a tiny little Honda 250 but it had people milling around it like fish to a berley trail /moths to a lightbulb/ drunk drivers to a tree, etc, etc.
It was called Isabel and was a tribute to the blokes grandmother.
She was a deep sea diver who wore one of those diving bells in the pioneering days of deep sea diving....(That is probably not true, just made that up. Not sure what Isabels' story is).
