    A good comparison speedster, shame they didn't put the 204 in there as well.

    Where did you think that would slot in....i think it would not get to 255TQ but kill it with HP. It would push the graph to the right perhaps?

    Maybe I should take this in to the guy who did my Dyno tube has in under 2 hrs. I am way short of all of 96 hp and 1100 ft/lb  with my 57 H.
    I ended up with 88 hp and 87 ft/lb, that's a huge shortfall.

    Hey we all know that USA dyno seem to produce better numbers than ours. If you took it to Fred and he got significantly better numbers , put it on your tuner. Ultimately you just need to be happy with what you got.

    Yeah I hear ya Paul, it rides ok, but I thought it should have been in the mid 90's not high 80's.
    I know there is a lot more in her that what the current tune is producing, but he has locked the map, so I can't even play with it.
    It will do untill  I do the 107 and get Hoody to do the heads.

    I never realised bolt in cams were so affordable (Andrews are about $350), they hard to fit and tune or is that where the cost lives?

    This is the HP line of a mates 103 softail that I fitted 204's in and road tuned, not a good exhaust hence the lag in the line but way better than stock performance wise.
    Cam change and tune wakes them up a bit, a decent exhaust helps mightily.

    If you can swing the spanners and tune it yourself and already have a tuner it's not too expensive, if I do it I make them buy adjustable pushrods because it makes my life easy so about 12-1500, cams, bearings, gaskets, rings, pushrods, decent lifters etc.

    PB I don't really care for the 255's anymore, I'd still fit them for someone else as they are an improvement from stock but honestly the 48 is just a way better cam than the 255 if that is where you want it.

    2 hours ain't long for a proper dyno tune, what tuning device have you got Ken?

    Absolutely no question a 48 is the better cam just that the 255 is often completely overlooked. There are a shit load of them out there to be a cheap cam swap for  budget builders

    Noticeable lack of Tman Cams.
    Mr Wood has been proven again, the 999-6a is a real surprise.
    Would be my choice for a lighter bike....

    ken , you can't custom map refi in 2.5 hours
    with a good operator , that knows how to tune, it is always better.
    if the 103 had better heads, could also show more HP, but could possibly sacrifice TQ ( but not always ) would also be nice to know what cranking pressure the motor had with the different cams.
    I did not think you could get those E pipes these days?

    Yep I thought it would have taken at least 4 hrs Krash.
    It is running OK, and is good to ride, but 5 to 8 hp and 10 to 20 lt/ ld more would be good.
    I will do the heads down the track, but am done with her for awhile now.

    GM if I could save his map o would try another one, but he had locked it somehow, the dealer says they pull the plug to the tuner right at the end of the saving process, and it stuffs up the file name and makes it un-openable again, even HD couldn't open it.
    It will do for awhile.

    A suspicious activity that would make me run a mile, lots do it claiming intellectual property rights, I call bullshit, more likely scared someone would disseminate their tune and see what little they really did. It's not rocket science, nothing to hide.

    No, no T-man, maybe they don't like them?
    No 888 either and that hauls arse, even the 408-44 goes well, older grind but I can attest to that spose they can't run them all.
    I never looked at the 999-6A before, just figured it was high lift, at .575" it makes it pretty friendly for stock heads but TDC lift is up there, see they have a disclaimer for the CVO heads on it, would that be because they put them in the pockets pretty deep or just too close to touching for comfort I wonder?
