Anyone here involved with Bucket Racing ?
Going to check it out when I get home and see how many do it up at the Mareeba track. Townsville Road Racing Club do it as well but they are using the Whitsundays motor sport track, which is a further 2 to 3 hrs away from me.

Did have a run a very very long time ago in NSW. Rode a mates Suzuki two stroke at Oran Park short track. Would be keen to do it again ....

Had a mate that did it for years, based out of Townsville. He like many were filthy on the TSV track going go-kart only (seemed to me based on a developers money schemes and new residents that ignored it pre-purchase; Hilly may have a different, more informed, view though).
I recall the Mareeba track was plenty of fun as is the southern one. Mate loved the camaraderie and fun of it all, and the relative low cost, barring usual tools. I’d imagine you’d need a bike trailer ect to get around out of Cairns.

Maybe you are the next Jack Miller, Ken? He got his start in TSV riding a bucket I believe.

I’d add he broke plenty of bones in his time racing ... he didn’t know when to slow down!

I think I have missed my chance to make the big leagues, I'm 52 now, just looking into it to see what it what.
I have a 6 x 8  box trailer so hopefully I can utilize that for transport. Might have to borrow my wheel clamps off the lift table to keep it safe up the range road.
Hope to get onto the Cairns club when I get home tomorrow.
