I'm the same....The Evo is UNC/UNF and the Sporty is a mix of bloody metric and imperial - curse you harley you cheap bastards!
I only use imperial on my girls. Never had the need to look for a 10mm socket, however the continual searching for a 1/2" socket is another story.
My '19 Sport Gilde appears to be a mixture. Even down to accessories. I actually have a rack that has a metric Allen head bolt and an imperial one on the same part!
Say what you will about Japanese bikes/cars but if you have a screwdriver, a set of Allen keys, and 8,10,12,13, 14, 17,19mm sockets, you can do 90% of all jobs on those.
Agree, BUT on my 86 Evo its just one tool set as well - american sizes (whatever they call them)
Except for your Japanese (Keihin) CV carburetor!
The '86 came with a butterfly Keihin, CV came later.
