Fuel cap rattle

    Hi there 
    My fuel cap rattles like fork when i give it a bit of gas .
    Its about up at 50% revs when it chimes in and its really starting to pi$$ me off now.
    I bought a new cap and that fixed it ........for a short period but not permanent .
    Its now "back again" and any amount of tightening the bloody fuel cap wont rectify it 
    Any advice would be greatly appreciated as to how to fix the bloody thing

    03 Fatboy (Anniv Model ) 
    77,000 Kms and still goes good

    I would pull the thing apart and use Silicon based sealer in it to make sure everything is tight.  Other option is to try a new brand or type of cap.

    I had a similar issue on my Dyna, couldn't stop it so went and bought a black recessed one that pops up.
