Still waiting for accessories after 3 months

3 moths ago my new Sport Glide was delivered. Still waiting on a Holdfast hardware docking kit that was bought and paid for at the time so the rest of my accessories (also bought and paid for at the time) can be fitted. It's time for the first service at which all this was supposed to be done, but still no word from the dealer or any sign of the parts arriving in stock.
Is this normal? Are they on the slow boat? Do HD only make parts in winter time when it's too cold for them to go out and ride? Really frustrated because my partner wants to go riding with me but also wants to have the sissybar there so she feels secure. Don't feel as though discussing this with the dealer will help much since they can't do much until the parts actually arrive.

    Feeling frustrated.

I'd be asking for a refund and going to another dealership to get the parts and service done. I'm not familiar with those products but if there's an aftermarket option and fit yourself that would be even better.
Unless they told you when you ordered it there would be a significant wait, three months is way too long!

Agree... crack the chits with them and demand a refund.  They are pulling your chain!

Sorry to hear Ross. It's just retail. Just don't sweat it!! It'll arrive. The best thing you can do is just touch base with the dealer and see if they have an update for you. You'll want to be developing a relationship with them for the long haul. Be a bit accommodating now, and it will pay dividends down the track if you need some help. Heck you thought enough of the place to buy the bike from them.
You can still ride the bike and the missus can still get on the back. The sissy bar is a nice to have.
Good luck. We read horror stories on this forum all the time. Members gang up and advise to demand this and that and the whole thing goes pear shaped.

Took a couple of months for me to get a new fender a couple of weeks back.
It happens - check with the staff and you will get a clear sense of whether has been ordered and it’s the originator that slow or if the dealer, perhaps, hasn’t made the ordered at all. That happened to me once too.

Steelo mate, you’re not turning into Softo ?
3 months is too long. Building a relationship with the dealer should be a two way thing.

Amazing, I ordered a item [HD] from the states on the 12th arrived today, the dealers wonder why people go elsewhere ? Good luck with the wait.

I must be an impatient old cunt, as there is no way in hell that I could or would wait 3 months for items ordered and paid.
I do see the logic in not being a "bogan" though and going off ya nut at the company in question, but a polite, just touching base inquiring when can you expect ordered parts ? is where I would kick off.
Still remember that the squeaky wheel ends up getting oiled first, something that I don't follow, which is why all my wheels squeak.

When I order parts the dealer will let me know nearly exactly when the parts will arrive (usually within 2 weeks) , I think I might have a rare dealer that is actually useful, compared to some others anyway

If I hadn't agreed to take the bike without them and get them fitted on arrival, I'd still be waiting for the bike as well.

Just an update. After emailing the dealer to book the first service and ask about the parts, I got a call from them today. They told me parts have arrived and it's booked in to get the sissy bar, mounting spools and rack fitted Monday along with 1st service.

Turds, probably been sitting there for weeks or maybe they were just waiting on you to
    book your first service.

Who knows. The parts still show as out of stock on their website. I had been told they would let me know when they were in and had been putting off the first service (and not riding as a result) to avoid having to go in there twice. Couldn't wait any longer (3 months or 1600km) so booked it anyway with the comment and lo and behold, the parts are there.
