G'day all. First off can I ask not to get into a debate about the new 107 Low Rider name being a Softail and not a Dyna thanks. Ok might be doing a deal on a 2019 Low Rider this week coming depends if the dealership try's not to shaft me on my over the phone agreed trade in value. So anyone here own a new Low Rider, out of the new Harley range of bikes it's my favorite perfect for my riding style. Done a lot of YouTube and web reviews on this bike and can't find anyone that dislikes this bike. I am more than happy with the power the 107 puts out I have ridden two bikes of the new Harley range (unfortunately not a Low Rider yet) and impressed with the way they ride. The only thing I am going to do with my new bike is fit Vance & Hines slip on mufflers hopefully I can get away without fitting a turner so I been told. Ok this is my last throw of the dice, my last bike at sixty years old I can't see anymore bikes in my future so any information about the new Harleys good or bad wiil be helpful  cheers.

I assume you’ve read the M8 Owners thread and also searched M8, long but good reading.

I recently bought a Sport Glide, which is very similar except for having forward controls, fairing and bags. I am really happy with it. I fitted the SE stage 1 exhaust and a ventilator air cleaner, but rather than the SE tuner the dealer used an aftermarket one with fewer restrictions.
I've also just fitted a Saddlemen Explorer seat, mostly so I don't get complaints from behind me. Haven't ridden on it yet but it feels ok to sit on.

I was tossing up between the Low Rider and Street Bob and I went with the FXBB. I'm pretty happy with the 107. Had it for 9 months and just about to book in for my 8000 km service.
If I was making the choice today though I would've gone for the Low Rider S with the 114.

I am pretty confident you would be fine running slip ons without a tuner, I ran mine with a Bassani full exhaust system for a little while before I got my air cleaner and tuner.

Had a Saddlemen Explorer on a previous bike and thought it was the best. Where did you get it please?  Good price, service, etc?

actually bought this one on eBay.  It was new in the box. I paid AUD644.92 + postage that was relatively reasonable (around $80), so YMMV with exchange rates.
The seller was a company called Get Lowered. I didn't have any issues with them.

It is a very supportive seat, but it feels harder than the original when you first sit on it. The slotted hole in the attachment tab gives a small amount of adjustment fore and aft.

Picked up my new Lowrider on last Friday....the 13th it was too.
At 58 I would think I'm in the same frame of mind as yourself as in "last bike"
After only a week I have fallen arse over in love with the thing......I have V&H Slashcut slipons and the sound is plenty loud.
Like the Nike people say..JUST DO IT.
