Hard starting

    I use a hvt1. By memory in my softails 
    Check them out  if you get one  you will be

    Yer I know harley don’t even no what there’s are 

    Funny thing is if get a ssb agm  it’s case looks 
    The same as harley one without the logo on it

    but it only has the positive terminal on the right. I need it on the left and he says they don't 
    have them. I'm looking at a HVT 4.

    G'day perthhog,
                               got myself an SSB HVT 4 from that 4WD mob on ebay for $118 delivered. It puts out 425 CCA. I ordered it Monday and it arrived Friday. Couldn't believe it. Dropped it in this morning and it started first hit. I just noticed on the Harley battery I replaced it's actually marked 330 CCA. Never noticed it before and even Frasers couldn't tell me what their own battery was rated at. So problem solved.

    Good stuff    What was your thoughts on the two battery cases when I compared 
    Them   About  4/5 years back  if you pulled the decals  of them 
    They looked the same  apart from the HD logo  on the case 
    They must have started marking them with the  Cca amount 
    It’s been  on the net that there around the  300cca for along time 
    I would still use a HD one if I couldn’t get a ssb 
    They are a good battery , 
    I would invest in a ctek. Charger and comfort indercator 
    For it if you’re like me  and have a few toys  well worth 
    It as I stated in another post  on charges

    I've been using CTEK's for about 5 years now. I had two. One for the Harley and one for my old Nissan ute. I have the leads bolted permanently to their batteries. One of them gave up the ghost  a while back so I replaced it with a Deltran Battery Tender. The CTEK gets plugged into the Harlot after every ride. It's a permanent fixture when it's parked in the workshop. Thanks to you and other members for your help. I appreciate it.
