Hi guys, Im new to this forum and new to harleys.
I've been a motorcycle rider for over twenty years, but they've all been sports bikes.
I've wanted to ride harleys for a few years now then when one of the guys from work let me ride his new breakout i was done.
Sooooo I've recently pulled the trigger on a 2008 night train, so now im sitting waiting for it to arrive from QLD.
Hope you all will have me as part of the crew and not bash me too hard for riding the crotch rockets for so long hahahaha.

Well done. They are addictive from the time you first see/ hear one. Then when you have your own and you roll that throttle and hear the rumble rebounding through valleys , your a convert

Hahaha yes, but on the down side, I've rebuilt many sportsbikes to customs and looking into doing the same to the harley but the dollar value skyrockets as soon as harley is even mentioned.

Harley Tax, horrible thing, least you can swing the spanners, saves you a fortune straight up.

Welcome Sparky. So a Night Train? good choice, IMO well better than a Breakout cause of the 240 rear, looks cool, handles poorly whereas the Night Train is a great package.
Cheers.

Welcome Sparky, don't worry about your sports bike history, some of us still own one as well.

To be honest, I've been riding the harley around and for what i do with it it is alot more fun than my sportsbikes, and easily softer on the old back and shoulders.

Great bike the Night Train. I've got a 2001 model. Looking at buying a Street Glide soon but the Night Train is going to be a keeper. Told the wife that she will have to bury it with me when I drop off the perch.

You'd be surprised how common your story is. I just wanted a bike with a performance envelope that fitted where I ride. Now Harley Davidson make them, so I bought one. Welcome to the Forum, no judgement here. Brand loyalty gets you nowhere these days.
