I have been riding on 'Michelin Commander 2' tyres for a few months now, a couple of times in heavy rain, have a fair amount of confidence in staying upright in the wet.
Too early to say how quick they will wear.

after getting shot of the dunlop 408,s and rebooting with the commander ll i have to say that the ride is so much smother .. the front end doesnt feel skitish any more .
done a  ride up to lanceliln yesterday .. bout 270k,s round trip and it felt pretty damn good .. i dont ride hard so not such a big problem and tend not to ride much in the wet either so also not much of a problem, although i guess it would be good to know how they would handle if i happened to get caught out at some stage .. but yeh overall im happy with the commanders  : )

gooday wello,i replaced my hd dunlop 401 tyres  a while back with a pair of commander 2's.the first ride impression was a far smoother front ride [ not that it was problem ] same road as i usually take, same pressures f/r.there had been some dunlop harshness at the rear but that was gone [ good],so the ride improved.prior to changing tyres the bike was hard to " turn " around roundabouts, that is now a lot better.wet weather is heaps better than the dunlops, they made me nervous. last couple of wet rides,in heavy rain, i had a couple of "slips" but i put it down to some of our great victorian regional roads.tread depth new was 4mm front and 7mm rear, have done 11,000km now.front @3mm and rear @3.5mm [ i'm not a hard/fast rider ] most of these km's have been well loaded and 100-110 kph runs with some mountain roads thrown in.last big trip 4,600 km to burleigh heads and back with a lot of gear on.the bike steers and rides smooth so i'm pretty happy so far and they look like i will get maybe 16-18.000km out of them. the dunlop rear made 13,000km and was " off " by then.cheers

Just goes to show - you ask six people a question & you'll get six different opinions (always happens with tyre or battery discussions).
