Well guys it's back again. I start the bike up every thing is fine. I put the bike in first everything is fine, but as soon as I've released the clutch I loose all lights on the console. Honestly I think it's the dash. It's pretty hard to ride the bike with a dead speedo. Your thoughts?

Thanks for all the advice fellas. I've had the regulator and battery replaced, and the bike runs like new.
I've been putting it through it's paces and done 1000km over the last couple of days. Tomorrow will be the test as it's going to be -1°c.

Did they diagnose the reason the first regulator they installed had failed?
I'm glad you're up & running & don't wish it upon you, but when are you going in to get your 3rd regulator installed?
This is the third mate. They didn't give a reason for the first one shitting itself. I suspect it was the battery. This bike runs like it never has before.

MB, please inform me if I am missing something here....
I've copied/pasted from your other continuing saga thread to remind you of my advice.
You need the problem diagnosed. You cannot just let the Harley 'technicians' continually keep putting another regulator in the bike. You've had three fitted already - this should tell you something! Leave the bike with them, demand a loan bike (model of your choice), remind them that their approach to resolving you issue has been amateurish and you will not come back until problem is diagnosed/rectified.

Thanks WG, I'll be contacting the manager this morning in regards to the matter and it's either a new bike or money back. This to me is a major problem that is continually on going.
I will be leaving the bike with them and they can sort it out. Your advice has been taken aboard ??.

yep, and more importantly a safety / roadworthy issue. You would not want that happening at a set of lights and start looking down whilst the moron behind bumps you
