    I had a great day, 45 on stableford
    how was I to know if you shoot 10 shots under handicap, you lose 2 strokes, then the GA compounds and I lose another 2

    lose four stokes of my handicap, gives no incentive to play good golf

    Yes, (3 balls)
    but its the 4 stroke I have now lost after having my BEST SCORE EVER, not a consistent score a once off
    now, I will have to play out of my skill level until the 20 round GA rolls around

    Mate, I have no problem with losing strokes, when I play a good round, a flag round,  I have my first goal to get to 18, 1 stroke a hole, but when you play an out of this world round (for me) to automatically lose 2, that is not an incentive, even 7 to 9.9 strokes over gets an 1 stroke removal.
    why when I have a 110 and above, I don't get strokes?
    as you can see on my differential I am not that good.

    I just hit my soft cap, yet as you can see, I have not been getting many good scores over the last 20 so still need help with a handicap, currently, 23 will not be achievable (with current form)
    my next round is in 2 weeks, 27 hole championship Pt. Augusta open, I am playing purely for the enjoyment, I'm C grade, (if straight) can win long drive (ave 240m), so will still try, but don't hold muck hope for a good score, we get stableford, that will assist the confidence

    Port Augusta open, played there most of my life, gone back for golf week last 25 years, awesome views of the rangers. Good luck
