Tyre Puncture - is this savable?

    Hi,
New Night Dragons and the rear was flat after work today.  Limped to a garage and filled her up from a dead flat and then 'raced' home.  Looks like I picked up something dead centre of the tread so it's not sidewall related.  Is this something that my tyre shop can fix?

a couple hundred dollars, get a new one
I will plug a tire to get me to the tire shop to replace it

if you fix it and get some life from it, you will feel good, if it fails and you could feel bad or worse

looks like it might be fucked, They may be able to remove tyre and patch it, but I don't think a plug will work as the slit looks to long, what a bugger

Good advice, if a South Australian says its fucked, its fucked.

Definitely Cactus. Could always reuse as a neck warmer. Re: African gangers....
    Now the choice.
    What replacement tyre?
that goes the distance, gives -wet grip, has reasonable strong side walls, has reasonable life span, sticky, not too exxy, addressing previous - disperses water quickly and centre hard wear with centre sides not so hard.
At least these days we have tubeless, helps making the ride safer.
    Decisions!

    Ken,
you right re Dunny Original, shite, Tuss, always soft spot for the P"s and Eastern Burbs Melbourne (came therein 81) yeah previous centaury,  people were old apple orchardists, etc, and were just generally cool.
Millage on P"s would be interesting Tuss, bar no unholy wire rips in side walls?
    Good choice and good luck.
Just be glad I didna put up my tire wear from living on west coast WA.
Centre, was fairly weared, from north to south, till ya got to Northampton or similar name, was the only bend after sitting on 160.for 10 hours, fuck did we hook in..........
