Well are we going to see a full water cooled Harley tourer soon.......Indian are about to release their new tourer with a 120hp standard water cooled v twin called Raptor.  They have also added VVT to their 1200cc bikes as well. It was thru Indian expansion that HD had to bring us the Rushmore to bring sales back then the 107 to beat the Indian 106 etc. Competition is good for pushing HD to do something

Well you’d bloody hope so Pauly. I know the rhetoric but really don’t understand why HD has been reluctant. The Vrod sold ok and went even better and if it is just a looks thing, can’t they just add 20mm of fin to maintain the old style looks.   VVT’s about time but why not go VTEC or VVTL?

I think they haven’t gone water cooled because of the iconic air cooled motor we all worship which really draws us all in. Oil cooling doesn’t ruin the aesthetic of the motor.  I’m going to cop a lot of flack for saying this... but I’d love to see an electric tourer with a battery that lasts at least 500km.  Unfortunately I can’t see this happening for a while as my crystal ball isn’t working at the minute.

I'm with ya Timmy, if Tesla can give their cars a 500 k range why not a bike.
Ok I get the battery carrying capability difference but surely the size/weight ratio should have some impact.

However, if looks is the sole driver for an air cooled design, just stick fins on a liquid cooled engine, the extra oomph would soon sell the bike..
