Cheers Mickle. The S&S pump doesn't 'fix' the problem, it is just so strong and well-built/designed that it forces the motor to do the right thing. It's a result though, which is all we're after.

The S&S pump design just draws on what dry-sumped motors always have, separate pump chambers for each evacuation area. It's the MoCo's pump design that's weird...

Hey Nutty what's your thoughts on the vent in the dipstick, as I said I no longer have sumping issues so maybe I should leave things be.

Hey mickle, been looking for these set ups all arvo.....then I come here and BOOM, exactly what I'm looking for! Any info on supplier/s would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi all
Has anyone here tried the new trask check m8 vented transmission top cover.
Ive seen the fueling vented dipstick but the trask check m8 looks good. More hidden and user friendly as you dont have to remove the hose on the dipstick every time you want to check the oil.
Thinking of trying the trask check m8
    Any thoughts appreciated.

The trans is already well vented, I cant see an extra trans vent doing any good.
The trans oil transfer occurs because the pressure in the primary gets lower than pressure in the trans (atmo).
Venting the primary in-bound through a one way valve and a filter fixes the issue every time.
I can send you pics of our (cheap) fix if you'd like.

    Hey Nutty appreciate the reply.
Im not having the trans to primary transfer issue, or any sumping issues.
im having an issue with high revs riding through the hills and it spitting oil out the air cleaner.
Only going by the trask video .
There is a crankcase breather port under the trans cover is not so well vented. So the extra breather in there is supposed to relieve pressure the same way as the fueling dilstick.
Ive been keeping the oil level down on the stick to try to prevent this as everyone has seemed to mention.
I havent had any issues other than that.
Its a late 17 streetglide with stage 2 s and s 465 torque cam .and 2020 harley oil pump.
I would appreciate photos of your fix.
