I've got the original fuel pak (the one with the buttons) on my FXDB and not overly impressed. Does the job where I'm at now (just stage 1). But all it does is add or remove fuelnfrom the mixture, and VH won't tell me what each of the modes does.
Looking at going a PV over FP3 purely out of spite for them not telling me more about the FuelPak.
From what I've read on the US forums its almost unanimous that PV is better anyway.
Just dont know whether anyone still makes a tuner for the 2007 bikes!

Still plenty of top notch tuning hardware and software for all the EFI bikes about, comes down to personal choice really, hype and bro science seems to influence a lot of people decisions, any of the good ones will get the job done, some are just better than others.

Is there anything wrong with using the old orange super tuner pro? there’s plenty of new ones still for sale.

If you can get one and the build is not too radical they work pretty good, I'm using one at present, combined with MyTune you can get a decent DIY tune with it, you don't have to use MyTune it just makes it easier for timing, get better results with a decent dyno tuner of course but doable to a reasonable standard.

I have not used a FP3, But have run a Thundermax for 4 years and love it (I wanted the Autotune function and the ability to support a turbo)

Regardless of what you buy, make sure you get the Autotune option where the unit uses wideband O2 sensors and then self tunes to a target AF setting.  Save a LOT of money on Dyno Tunes and gets you about 99% to perfect.

Other than that they are ALL pretty much the same thing when push comes shove.

I too have a Thundermax. Best thing imo but expensive. I was lucky and got mine new on gumtree for $250. Bike runs top notch. And no dyno

So the Tmax optimises timing now?

I can buy a second hand power vision for $400. Seems the fella knows nothing about it and never used it...... or ridden a Harley and has no friends.... all new looking in the box but I am a bit suss. Does anyone have experience with these? Anything I should be (even more) wary of?...... its a PV-1 and I want to use it on a 2006 FXDCI with a S.E big breather and slip ons.... that pops on decel.....

    Thanks....

    Thanks GM er H ?
I bought a spare when I heard about the EPA issues as I really liked the look of the incoming Fatboy, er, till I rode one.
Guess I’ll keep it in case an old twin cam without a tuner temps me, cheers.
