Anyone had first hand dealings with them, are they any good for the price?
Other pros cons?

Im looking at fitting a spoked set to my breakout and while they look good in pictures just want to be sure Im not throwing $$ down the toilet

I'm generally against big bike mods but they do look good.

Nath they are fine you have a few options. if you want to save go to vpw they are cheaper but still do the same job

You’ve not mentioned what bike they’re going onto.
Generally they add weight, big spokes = more steel = more weight, so they handle different by giving a greater gyroscopic affect and fall less easily into corners. No big deal but if you’re into handling and the twistie roads it’s something to consider.

Bugger damn, thanks Steamer so he did, betta get to Spec savers.

Breakout rims are pretty light so moving to steel rims and fat spokes will add weight and affect handling in that the bike will want to stand up entering corners and be less cooperative through s bends etc. Guess it depends on how fast you like riding through the twisty bits.

Thanks Gents for your input, I didnt think about the added weight. Cornering is pretty easy to throw it in at the moment and ideally Id like to maintain that.
Ill maybe try and find a set of HD Turbines instead

Yeah Dan the wideglide’s a good choice for fats, it suffers much much less and being a Dyna, albeit with that skinny front wheel, already handles way better than the breakout.
Going from steel rims to steel rims, you’ve only upped the spoke diameter/weight.
The breakout runs an alloy 240 rear vs your steel 180 and an alloy 130 front vs the WG’s steel 90. As you mentioned, plus the tubes and it sure adds up to a difference you can feel.
Have you posted any pics of your WG, would like to see it.

That’s good Nath.
It’s an objective thing, depends what you’ve been riding and where. Here in the Adelaide hills, Street Glide wins over Breakout that wins over M8 Fatboy etc.
I reckon the new Fatboy now holds the worst handling crown, it’s probably those big/solid/heavy wheels.

I’ve got them on my slim, makes fuck all difference to handling, I bought them as vpw don’t do the ones I wanted.

Yeah Stropp, the Slims probably the perfect bike for fat spokes cause you’re not adding any significant weight to the already beefy wheels. So negligible if any handling change. Got a pic of the whole bike for us?
