How to get my baffles working...

    Hey,
Need to get a Roadworthy for the old bike and recon she is too loud. I have a set of Python staggered duels and like the look so am sticking with them. The home made baffles are not cutting the mustard so what have others done to improve their performance or reduce noise. Picture attached of my baffles for reference.

Assume you’re looking for something temporary. While crude you can make mesh suppositories, got my V&H big radius below 94db.
Bought a roll of 12 ml aviary mesh from Bunnings, $23. Slowly rolled it tight bashing with a hammer as you go to keep it tight and kept it to the internal pipe diameter, then trim the ends and cut it in two equal lengths. Shove em up the pipes then bolt in your baffles to hold it there. My 110 ran fine but as it silences by restriction I wouldn’t leave them in long term.

Weld up some quick and dirty lollipops. The bigger they are the quieter the pipe. If they are too big just angle them a bit til you are happy with the sound.
The ones pictured quietened a set of staintunes on my Triumph from ear shattering to acceptable without killing performance.

Cheers guys, I like both solutions so they are my plan B.  Plan A is to pop down to Motorcycle Warehouse and check out their generic inserts.  They have a 9" x 2" for $40 that may solve all the problems.
