Closed loop on the jacket water incorperates a heat exchanger PB. They are very prone to soft and hard scale on the SW side, which reduce the efficiency of heat transfer, another reason to use something like salt away to chemically remove the scale build up.
    Enjoy the new toy.
    Cheers Ken

Did a 7hr stint on the ski yesterday, great to do 110kph when you feel like it without the cops radar or unmarked cars pinging you. Feels like when i first got a bike 50yrs ago....freedom and loving it

that's why I like being able to take my Harley to a drag strip no speed limit. but time for a street bike limited to 9.9 quarter mile, no speed limit. those jet ski's have limits in NSW

Sorry Krash what i should say is that the ski do have a speed limit and have the same boating restrictions as a normal watercraft. I mostly have week days off and we live in an area where the river is wide and free from other craft and water police allowing you to have a go....

Went out on the ski today........was having a ball about 1klm offshore surfing the ski down a decent swell and jumping back out. Without any warning a dickhead jumps his ski over a wave straight at me, i was able to turn hard to rt but got smashed by the wave i was surfing down. The force of the wave smashed my rt cheek into the bars and highsided me into the water and off the ski. When i surfaced the ski was about 50m away but has anyone tried to swim with a PDF .....fucking hopeless against the current. Old mate kept going but came back after what was a very long 5 or so minutes. He towed me back to my ski , watched me gracefully, NOT, jump on and then fucked off. The impact was good enough to break the clip to the lanyard (key) so now i was on the ski, 1klm out to sea with no key to start it stranded . Ready to resort to the phone to call coast guard old mate re appeared.......got him to tow me in back to the boat ramp but he unclipped and was gone before i could drown him. Total cost $600 GO PRO , $180 new lanyard and recode , possible fractured cheek bone as well as stock market collapsing......other than that it was a great day, even got sunburnt!

They do but its just one of those things that sometimes happen. Credit to him for observing the rule of the sea and just not leaving me stranded. No harm...no foul other than a sore head! LOL

Absolutely Hilly,  certainly could have been a lot worse than the nice black eye this morning. And yes its a lot nicer crashing on the water than the tar, LOL

Yours's and my story as exactly why I never go out alone. Was skiing with a mate and jumping waves.  I hit a freak wave that grew from 0-5 to over 2 meters, it was the third so was committed and couldn't back out.  So hit it at about 70k's and sent me off into space. My mate reckons I was a good 15mtrs + in the air.  Like most accidents it all happened in slow motion, I remember looking down and thinking time to bail cause this is going to hurt, well it did, broke a tooth, hurt my shoulder and ankle when I hit the water and even with a PDF on I went under and had to swim to the surface.  By then my ski was a good 20 mtrs away and no chance of catching it (you are right very hard to swim with a PDF in the ocean).  If I wasn't with a mate I could have ended up in Tassie or a shark and my ski would have been lost forever. Ski was a write off only 6 months old so thank fuck for insurance.  I did however ride it back to shore as it still started, but that was the last ride on that one.

I'd like to register a complaint!!
PB persists on ringing me when the weather is in the high 20's and he just just been out on his jet ski and or returning home to beers and prawns
At the moment in Adelaide it's barely above freezing and we're expecting a cold snap.

At least you are ok......hopefully your face is also ok.  It’s fucking scary out there when you all alone in the water.......I had a terrifying experience late one night in the middle of the shipping lane 3 or 4 kms out late one night, and I was shitting bricks.....story for another time. Is the ski okay, that’s more important!

Hey my head has copped a few hits in the day so my beauty has been retained. Nothing at all happened to the ski other than the lost key. Headed on Monday to get it recoded
