    Gday all
Recently copped a yellow sticker for my pipes. I bought the bike with the pipes on it already, so don't have a set of my own stock ones to switch over to

Am wondering if anyone in WA has some stock Dyna pipes i could borrow for a day or two when i get my bike inspected?

both them and frasers don't wanna lend me a set, and would rather i bring my bike in and pay them to switch the pipes around.

Surely there must be some second handers available on Gumtree or ebay. Probably doesn't matter if you get the staggered duels (off Streetbob and superfine) or shotgun (off fatbob and wideglide).
I just did a quick look and there are some in secret harbour wa - ad title is: Harley Davidson Parts Bargain

Or find some second handers in another state and freight them over. It's not that expensive using e-go.com.au

I have been checking gumtree, saw that secret harbour ad but they're fuckin miiiiles away from me. The issue with ebay/buying interstate is I only have 10 days from the notice to fix the defect and have it inspected, can't rely on couriers with that sort of deadline and the variables involved.
I might have a set lined up, will find out tomorrow. I have until Friday to have it inspected and you gotta book in so I hope I don't find myself out of time.

Plan B would be do something yourself.  Re-baffle them and/or add a 'washer' into the pipe to tone the noise down.

Hey noctm, I have a set of std pipes & mufflers for a 2014 fatbob you can borrow..
There's no attaching hardware, clamps or heat shields. Just bare pipes and mufflers..
If these are any use, message me and we can work out the details. I'm in the general Perth area.

And with that, this is my first post after lurking for a few months.
    Cheers...

Thanks mate. I appreciate you all lookin out. I think I am sorted, should be picking up a set first thing tomorrow morning. Inspection is booked for mid day though, so if it falls through I'm stuffed. She'll be right

All sorted. Picked up stock pipes this morning and fitted them. Inspection dude had no dramas with the stock pipes, but said I had to sort out the lack of reflectors. So I shot up to repco around the corner and got the red and amber ones (30 bucks later) and stuck them to the bike. He passed it then. Funny thing is though he reckons you're not allowed to have passenger pegs mounted if you have a solo seat on. So after everything he put the pass through the system but made it so I had to update the licensing centre that my bike is 1 seat capacity... Wtf? I have a 2up seat and quick detach stuff ready to go if the missus wants on the back... So stupidly annoying. Ah well at least the yellow sticker is off!

Great news.. Reflectors, often the little things that you don't think about..
Interesting info re the solo seat and passenger pegs though..

Yeah its a bit dubious if you ask me I reckon the guy has confused himself with something else as I cannot find legislation referencing it whatsoever. Now as far as the DoT is concerned I can't have passengers on my bike...

Good to hear you got over the pits noctm, where did you take it?

That single seat thing sounds like wank, never heard of it for WA.

Have seen it mentioned in ads for bikes over east (single seat rego?).

Mindarie auto and electrical - my mechanic recommended them as being laid back and fair, which they were. The seat thing has definitely irritated me though.

I think it's to do with Compulsory Third Party insurance. Seating capacity of the bike. I would guess your Rego costs might be lower for a single seat?
    Someone should know for sure..
