Be interested to hear from other forum members who have been unlucky enough to have a bushfire rip through their place in regards to what they did with their bike/s and did it work or fail.
For instance did you put a bike in a shed thinking it was safer there only to have shed burn down. Or perhaps you took bike out of shed and put it in an open area only for your bike to burn while the shed stayed.

    Cheers.
I'm not in the firing line yet mate and thankfully not in a heavily timbered area.  Also know how things can change quickly just from a wind shift. Got a plan in place and intend to stay and tackle the situation. Faced a fire here in the early 90's and the only thing that saved the place was being here to put the spot fires out. If I was say in Bermuda rd, I would have taken off. No point defending the un-defendable.
Bit torn about the bikes though. Being a woodworker they share the shed with shitloads of dry timber.
Oh well, least they are insured if worse comes to worse.

I would be listening to H&H and getting my gear out. Would leave my bike as its insured !
