    G’day lads,
    I’ve got a 2017 FLSS soft tail slim s.

Looking to jazz it up a bit with some nice fat spoke wheels. The conversions I’m looking to do I’m sure someone has already done on this model so I’m just after some guidance.

Upgrades the front to a 21, what width would you recommend? (Fender will he changed to suit)

Rear, I will not be widening the rear with any heartland kits or anything but I would like to upgrade to the largest and widest wheel possible (I know should hve bought a fat boy) I’ve read 18x4.25 should fit in sizing charts but I would like to know thoughts and if anyone’s done it the problems and solutions they encountered?

Assuming raising the rear by that will make it look poxy, so best way drop it back down?

Based in Victoria (1.5 hours from melb) if anyone recommends a supplier or fitment by anyone that would be great was looking at just VPW and doing it over a few cold ones.

(Photo is not of my bike but is the look I’m drawn to, but without the heartland kit).

    Cheers.

Mate you should be able to change the back guard, inner and outer struts, do some rewiring for the tail lights, maybe not on the lights you should have leds if the leads are long enough they will nearly fit you should be able to put a softail 200 rear wheel on. You will probably have to also replace the inner bracket at the front of the wheel Depending on the guard you chose you’ll need a license plate bracket and light. You should be able to use the brake rotors but check that in the Harley catalogue. I’m pretty sure the Swingarm is the same and the drive belt should be as well go to the dealer they will tell you or again flip through the catalogue or check doctor google.  If you get online you can see where guys have put breakout front wheels on by rights you should only need a front guard riser kit. The chart above gives you the sizing as a max fit of 21x3.5 which is a breakout size you may need to some minor shim mods. I’d ask some questions about your front suspension but should be ok. The riser kits only lift the front guard about an inch or so
For an image google Fatboy with breakout front wheel.  Don’t take my word for gospel but some things to start to look at

You end up doing the conversion mate? I'm looking to do something similar but without fat spokes.
I've got a 2019 Street Bob and I'm looking at putting 21 x 2.15" on the front and a 17 x 4.5" on the rear, both standard wheels off other models.
Keen to hear how your project went before I start on mine.

Looks good.   What size is the rear wheel now? and how much work was required to go that size?

Did you need to space the belt and pulleys? And what fender will you be putting on?
