Gotta give them a couple stars for this episode.
I was reminded of some of my epic journeys from Adelaide to the Meadows bakery (about 46k's).
I wondered sometimes if I was gonna make it..

Is that why you bought a tourer...those 46klm must have been excruciating on your haemorrhoids

They may not be huge in numbers pb but those k’s are brutal in their toll on the mind, body and machine. In some stretches, metres of road works on our maintained highways before we get onto country roads, shadows from trees across the road, curves, no passing areas, give way signs, roundabouts to negotiate and speed limits down to 100km/hr!
Yes, a tourer does help, big engine, cruise control, highway pegs; backrest, heated grips, stereo / comms and a big tank. I know I can get there, have a well deserved rest, cuppa and sticky bun at the bakery and get home again without running out of fuel.
Ask wade, he can back me up. He’s done the trip on his ultra but has had to buy a pan am to do the trip as he’s a lot older than me and a big bike is getting harder to keep upright.

Ah Steelo your words are so inspirational and so elegantly portray the grit and determination required to get to the bakery. You have inspired me to try these longer trips now......well done to you!
