I can understand his frustration that the traction control electronic system (or whatever it is) is factory made fuck up. And HD should have the problems ironed out before the model is put out there.
Pretty sure the Pan Am is not the only vehicle that has got so "electronically clever", that it is actually a fuck up.
The missus bought a virtually new Suzuki Jimny 4X4 not long ago that would start applying the brakes by itself when you did not want it to and wobbling from side to side making grinding noises . We reported the problem to Suzuki Australia, who told us to contact the dealer we bought it from which we did. They sent down 2 guys in another Suzuki Jimny who tested both vehicles on the road to our place and they agreed that the brakes on both vehicles were being activated by each vehicle when they should not have been. They reported the problem back to Suzuki Australia and the best they could come up with was , "that is how they are meant to work".
It was a pathetic response to a downright dangerous design flaw and the vehicle has been sold on to the next unsuspecting person.
A totally horrible thing to do. But what else are you meant to do?.

I would not let him ride any of my bikes.
It does seem like he actually wants to crash them and that it is somehow cool to do it.

Digital electronics are great when they work, a head fuck when they don't.

These things are designed by very clever people and assembled by robots.

    They're maintained by ordinary humans.

We're not that long out of the trees...

If Danny is correct that you cant disable TC then thats a huge oversight by HD. My Bmw has various ride modes and for the dirt Enduro Pro allows the least ABS or TC intervention that allows the rear wheel to spin up for a lot longer time before intervention, failing that a simple press of a button disables ALL Abs and traction control wheelie control etc. I am far from a Toby Price on the dirt and running a 90/10 set of tires find the Enduro mode, not the Pro, to be the best for the limited traction of the tires. The tires i run are the limiting factor not the electronics.

I don't think the traction control is the issue.   I believe its some sort of funky electronic rev limiter jigger.
