I had to smile when at the Sails resort he kept referring to being ripped off........refresh my memory as to the industry he made his fortune in again

Well that was quite entertaining.. Gotta admit, love those wheels and extended bags on the RKs. Have I missed the accident?

Well I didn't see any accident, except maybe Daniel double dosed his meds.

Aah. The frailty, stupidity and resilience of man. I reckon there's a market for Y shaped towing bridles (one hooks on at the rear suspension under the bags and another around the front forks (edit: heaps of suitable items on Google)

If you need to tow a bike, you wrap the tow rope once or twice around the centre of the bars and hold onto the free end with your hand. If you need to, just let go of the rope and it'll be gone in a split second.

Thanks Smokey. Hard on a tourer.

On the Bogan's Battleship I'd maybe wrap once around vertical frame tubes under headstock and then up the front of the tank.

Either way, he's done alright, if he hadn't kept riding it like it was stolen he would have made it to Marree.

I feel for his mate, must feel like being employed as a nanny to a rich kid with ADHD...

He does crazy crap so the rest of us doesn’t have too...
Though, like his hill climb that put a whole on the engine, deliberately riding through the mud has snapped the belt and was a completely avoidable situation that’s compromised the trip.

I’d add: Parry is now the star of the show. Be a good mate to have. And his Harley is most reliable as has a measure of more respect for it.

I am surprised something like this or even a puncture has not stopped them before this. There is no forward planning from either one of them carrying minimal water or provisions or PLB or Sat phone

Yeah I’m surprised with some of distances covered in the middle of no where, the complete lack of planning and concern.
Bike too heavy? Ditch the water! Why not.

Entertaining though. He does more to sell HD’s than any of their garbage marketing.

when the belt breaks on a Big twin. off comes primary, clutch , shock & sometimes swingers ( depends on frame.
on a sporty off comes gear box drive cover & rear shock & belt cover & on goes the belt.
if I was planning something like that, on bikes like that I'd fit a chain, can still break but with a spare link and right tools can be up & going again. Bike should have a sump Gard too.
those corrugated dirt roads eventually stuff everything & anything.
