Talking fatboy. Need to get new brake pads was quoted 83 bucks from Harley Heaven. Is there a specific needed for the brake pads? Like ceramic or other? Surely there are other options / brands that can be used?
    Thanks in advance.

It’s a question. Relating on other brands other than OEM! Nothin to do with price!

Was talking Brake Pads to a friend, he is an experience HD spanna man. he also races and ride's hard. own's a few Harleys & said he has used all these different brake pads, some with a big reputation & price to match. but at end of the day he could not tell any difference. and just uses the stock factory pads. I've seen the guy ride so will take his word. I've always been happy using the Harley pads so never, tried others. as the way I see it if they are working, stick to them!
American's have been talking about Lyndal, but they never did explain to me why.

I've tried SBS and Lyndall gold and gone back to the stock HD pads. I put new floating rotors front and back with Lyndall gold and thought what a waste of money... now back with stock HD which seem to work best. IMHO

Lyndall pads seem to not bite as hard on the first grab of the lever but i think they really bite hard when you squeeze hard. The std seem to grab hard at first grab.
