Well done mate, there is another guy on here who rode his Fat Boy up to Cape York, not the most suitable of bikes to do it on, but it adds to the Adventure.

I now ride a more suitable bike for these types of trips, the corrugations on the Gibb, are a lot worse that the Telegraph road.

Particularly like the bit 7:20 in when you see the fishermen that are not there. Guess that's the hallucinations that happen when heat stroke/fatigue starts to happen.
Great watching, better than anything TV ever has on.
    Well done.

Dave Barr, did that trip on an old 4 speed shovel wide glide about thirty years back & had no legs and was just a stock old shovel, then road it around the world.well done mate! I would not do it myself.

Never heard of Dave Barr either Baloffski (the story sounds a bit monty pythonesque) but here it is

thats him was in US military walked on a land mine ( long story) but road that shovel around the world on his own, some places had to look down & lout or could get robbed also had to run the motor on 90W gear box oil in some third world countries as all there was & the old motor kept going . every time he dropped the bike he broke his artificial legs had to repair on his own.
also another really good story was about two young blokes back in the 1920's taking an old Harley side car out fit around Australia when there was not many roads and no servo's called Around Australia the hard way.  HD gave them a pare of wooden Harley jumpers, thats it, then they were going that well they were setting a new record so Harley starts helping. good read.
