fark, that's no good mate - unfortunately google "Milwaukee 8 sumping", there is a pretty good post on the US HDForums.

You have to let the dealership handle it thru warranty, hopefully you get a good resolution - keep us posted.

HD have recently released a new pump plate with a seal which reportedly fixes the sumping issues - depending on when yours was built, it may not have this fitted.

I would ask for a new bike....  or make damn sure the entire engine etc is 100% replaced.

They could mess around for months as well....so make sure you ride them tho get a FAST resolution.

Fuck ain’t the word for it.
Can ask for a new bike but that isn’t what warranties are for. I believe a guy here in Adelaide’s on his third engine but haven’t got an update on how it’s going. One good thing was they gave him a like bike during the repairs.
Though as yours is a CVO that might be difficult but try to accept nothing less. Hopefully it will be sorted quickly.
    Keep us posted.

Sounds like a good outcome with dealers behaving themselves.

Great news there goingmad ... can i just ask when you say you are getting a phase 6 engine do you mean you are getting the 6th engine that has been updated since the M8`s have come out or a Stage 6 engine .

Only ask as i have a full Stage 4 Screaming Eagle 2017 Road Glide Special and have read where guys are getting Stage 5 or bigger engines and i just wasn`t aware you could go bigger than a Stage 4 .

When my motor was done they upgraded the Oil pump and haven`t had any issues as yet ... fingers crossed ... well except this newest recall affecting the Clutch ... mine is on the list but Harley Australia have not got enough repair kits to go around as yet  ... or so Gasoline tell me ... 280,000 worldwide so the experts say .

You might want to get them to check yours as well while it is in being fixed for other issues .

Thanks Goingmad. I’m amazed how many iterations our bikes and cars go through. Buying Prado parts I used to wonder why they needed the exact VIN number for simple bits, turns out there were many versions of the 120 over its 4yr production life.
When your new bike arrives and all’s good, you gonna change your logon?

Perhaps calling each newer model of the M8 a Mark one, Mark two etc for the newer versions as they progressed through the improvments would be better than using the term phase one etc.
Like they did fot the Cortina, Spitfire, Mustang etc.
     Just an idea.

    Cheers Ken
