HD Hammock Seat Review Request

    Good morning

I'm looking at purchasing a HD Hammock seat for my 2007 Roadking Classic as the 'good woman' is returning to joining me on a number of extended tours after 3 years.

Does any one have ride experienced with these seats?

I would like opinions of pillion rider comfort (particularly for a 80kg 175mm women).
    Cheers

Gday we use one for our touring seat and we both think it’s great. On a M8 roadking, done a few 1000km+ trips all good

    Hi Dyna13
Sounds good and reflects the US reviews! Hopefully we'll get a few more +++ posts!

The 07 has a slightly shorter rear suspension arm with air shocks which has a slightly harder ride hence our interest in the Hammock.

    Cheers

I used the hammock seat on a 2013 road glide for long trips. Very comfortable. Can’t speak about pillion use but looked very comfy for pillions too. I ended up trying an oem ultra seat and preferred it over the hammock seat although both were good.

    Hi fatbat

Hadn't thought of the ultra's seat.
    I'll follow it up.

Other forum members may have comments re their comparison!

Rocs, when i purchased my 2017 sgs i also bought the top box with smooth backrest and the smooth touring seat. It sits me about an inch higher than the stock seat, the pillion section is very wide (if needed??) and is a lot thicker than the standard sgs seat, which really isn't a 2 up seat anyway.we just returned from tassie where we did almost 4000kms and the missus didn't complain once of a sore butt.
Haven't got the part number handy, but i recently posted a piccy from Port Arthur if you wanted to look what its like.

    Hi Doc
    Great photos!
Tassie trip for us coming up in March 2019!
Thr top box might look a little unusual on the RK but the set certainly looks like an option!
    Cheers

I got one for my missus - she loves it. She used to move around a fair bit getting comfortable but sits still with this Saddle......bear in mind there are two different part number saddles which will fit today’s touring bikes........one sits the rider further back, that’s the one I got......Part #52000003A

    Hi Dan
I hadn't heard of the rider setback option but will follow this up.
Hopefully a version exists for the 07!
    Cheers

Same one I got on Dans advice I’m 6,2 and is comfortable, cook thinks it’s great compared to stock. Seat looks bulky on bike but soon forget when doing the kms

    G'day Rocs,
Have one on my 2016 Road King & love it. Sits you about an inch or so higher. Missus thinks it's the ducks guts. I have the set up with the top box & never take it off. Thought about getting a solo seat for looks when just tooling around locally, but I am use to the look now & can't be fucked. Have attached a pic so you can see what it looks like.
