seen this today I might add Im not associated with Gladiators MC don`t know if 1% but I found it  disturbing that a good deed like this was to be stopped by cops, so fucked up

    they are a 1% club
i could understand if it was a relatively new relationship, but if they've been doing these runs and supporting this charity for 20 years as the letter says - it's pretty poor form

poor form indeed spose cops will feel threatened with a mass ride regardless that  its for charity, I just feel that the demonstration of a caring social input should count for something

its a shit action by the cops, ive been on a couple of their rides and events when i lived in the hunter and they are a decent bunch of blokes, this is just another dumb ass idea to stop bike clubs looking good in the eyes of joe public and a disaster for charities that rely on these types of rides as the government does fuck all for them :(

if an organisation of any kind is registered as a charity or doing charity , its for taxation reasons .
cops probably trying to upset their financial charity status , get them deregistered .
theres a Trust some where amoungst it all

If the letter is genuine and there's nothing to suggest it isn't. The letter context and bit of the content about volunteers doesn't even make sense. I guess the charity could have responded to the police threats with an "or what?" but they chose not too.
A little bit of feel good stuff, doesn't make the majority of OMC's or other criminal groups any less, well "criminal"

pretty much my experience and thoughts about some of the 1% groups I have met and the involvement of a fair number of their members in charity rides
