How to check if bike has stage 1 tune?

Hi all, I recently purchased a 2012 Softail Slim with V & H Big Shots and a SE Heavy Breather. Bike runs great and am very happy with it. I assume the bike was tuned when the pipes and breather were fitted but just want to know if there is anyway to check other than to go into a dealership as it didn’t come with the physical tuner. I will be heading to a dealership at some point but would like to save the time if possible. I’ve read heaps of threads but no real answers. I did try seeing what the rev limiter is at (as much as I hated it) and it reached approx 6025rpm if that helps. Any responses would be much appreciated!!!

    Does it pop on decel?
Assume you've checked the data port for anything plugged into it. (A fuelpak can be hidden)

Thanks for the reply Big Steve, slight pop on decel however nothing really prominent. I checked the port and nothing there!

If you know which dealer the bike was sold at and serviced at, you could call and ask what records they have for the bike. If you don't know what dealer, there's not too many around to phone. Have the vin ready when you call in case the plate ever changed
Also, anyone with a screamin eagle or TTS tuner (married to another bike of course) can still read the name of the tuning calibration in your bike which can help. A factory type calibration file name is different to the file name for different tunes. Do you know anyone with a Se or TTS tuner? Powervision probably also does this

Thanks Fatbat, I do know someone with a SE tuner, I’ll give that a crack! However I am starting to think I’ll just take it to my dealer when I can just to be safe. I’m sure it’s been done as it’s running perfectly with plenty of power. Fingers crossed!

first person I'd ask is the person I bought the bike from.

I have seen multiple bikes now where the original race tuner follows a different life's path to the bike.

They get "lost" all the time, shouldn't but they do ! Used bikes via dealers, used US imports, just sellers ( and buyers !) that don't know their arse from a hole in the wall

Big bummer is you have to buy another (if you can get one !) and that's areal COCK of a thing.

And yes a mate with a Supertuner pro can read your Vin and 'see" what's in there.

Now in the USA the dealers could sell you a one off "Stage 1" download from the shop digitech , but the Aussie dealers could not do that ever.

It did appear in the shop menu , I have seen it , but it was 'greyed out" for HDI bikes , race tuner dongle the only way
