Few changes in thinking over the last month or so and Mrs Jayman wanting to buy a house means the Fatbob is going and fairly close to doing a deal on a ‘18 Husqvarna 701 Enduro.

Fuel Injected 692cc Single Cylinder, 6 speed, 74hp out of the box, WP/Brembo Suspension & Brake package. Switchable ABS. 145kg dry weight.
Reliable as the sun and goes anywhere a 4WD can go, and performs just as well on roads and highways.

yeah there’s actually a forum called Advrider. All they talk about is motorcycling. Imagine it!

Mate, I love my 2017 model 701 Husky with HardKits Adventure kit installed, about 700 km's plus when all the 3 tanks are full. It is my very remote adventure bike for the Canning Stock Route which I am doing soon, unsupported

The 690 KTM motor in that thing is a nice bit of kit.

Hardkits are just around the corner from me so I’ll go and check them out. I originally was looking at the 701 Supermoto but it seems there’s plenty more adventures to be had with the Enduro.
Had a look at one this morning and am taking for a ride next week.

Waiting to hear back on the changeover price PB. If there’s little in it, then we’ll be doing a deal, otherwise I’ll go private sale and brave the time wasters.

It is mate. Now updated with dual counterbalance so will be like a magic carpet coming off the Dyna.

Hey Lofty, were you happy with the 15/45 sprocket combo?
Also, what’s your pick of the dual sport tyres for combined dirt/bitumen duties?

Depending on where I am going, I may play around with a larger/smaller front sprocket depending on speed/sand/etc etc
But overall, this engine is very happy to power the extra fuel and weight of the HardKits plus luggage

Just a heads up jay. Don"t know if you have come across a web site called "Horizons Unlimited".
In my younger days had a dream of going around the world, not in a balloon, though could dig that , but on a motorcycle.
A story stuck with me was Peter and Kay Forwood who travelled to 193 countries 2-up on a Harley Electraglide, sorry to sideline, but Husky are fucken cool, My chainsaw says it all.. Good read

Don't know about sucken up the miles though on that seat?
Fucken nice ride, though I'm a bike junkie and bike looks, bloody tasty.

Stock seat is a plank Bal. Seat Concepts aftermarket saddle is what I’ve been advised toward.
