Good service today at Ford in Ballarat - free barista-made coffee and a pleasant environment.
Unfortunately the start-stop can’t be disconnected so will learn to live with it and claim that I and my truck are environmentally friendly.

PB - Ol Mate admittedly there was a problem with older vehicles but apparently they changed the system in newer ones. Not much advice in that but some other posters have hopefully offered some alternatives.

If Petrol, I think they get the three valve ( 330 cubic inch V8 ) with two intake & one exhaust valve, that motor has good torque at low rev's. so economy for the size of the ute, not too bad. I think if you tried to move same weight with a little Nap 4 cyl petrol you would get a shock how much they drink.

Mmmm. Not so sure. He moves them on once the rubber tyre hairs have worn off. That's less than a tank

Actually, I got my deposit back on that Ute and bought a 4x4 F250 Dual Cab with the 7.3 l Turbo Diesel and a 34’ 5th wheel combination. The F250 only has 113k on it, turbo timer, shift kit, extra large auto pan with twin coolers, brand new rubber. Flying to Perth next week and driving it back if anyone wants to be a co driver.
