Here is a bit of news related to the latest MoCo fix for the transmission oil transfer in the M8s.
First fix was to replace crank seal to reduce vacuum in the primary. Didn't work
Second fix was to fit a transmission oil deflector kit 36300028 to reduce transmission oil travel along the push rod. Didn't work.
Latest fix was to fit a vent tube to the primary.
It seems that hasn't worked either.

A couple of snippets from US HDForums:

"Had the "fix" done and still transferring. Took it in today for another 1k check. Yep still transferring , will call harley. Just got a call from shop. Harley says to keep riding they are working on it. This is beyond unbelievable."

"The breather tube failed to solve the issue in the guys 2018 anniversary CVO, also his bike sumped. He's lost the trans oil about 4 times and it sumped day before yesterday. The dealer came to where he was at and drained the sump and refilled with oil and put oil back in the tranny. He drove it straight to a Honda dealership and traded for a 2018 Goldwing.
Now this was a guy who has bought 51 new HD's over the years, he's 85 and still can out ride me. So I have doubts that the venting will fix there issue's "

if a Goldwing makes you feel better .... ride that. they have never interested me at all.
A friend of mine with a few Harley's, got a M8 all he does is ride it.

I’d bet my left nut that if you found a Goldwing forum that there’d be problems and idiosyncrasies unique to that bike as well, possibly exaggerated or over reported, as there would with all bikes and cars. Make of it what you will, people will still buy what they love regardless of it means taking a chance on a potential failure. Moving on...

I didn't say anything about my preference for a Goldwing
I have two Harleys and I'm happy with them, both performance machines, and neither of them touched by a Dealer since I've owned them.
I'm pointing at the MoCo attitude to sorting problems with their bikes and looking after their customers.
There are plenty of M8's about without any problems.
Most owners are going to be aware of a problem with sumping.
Not so much the migration issue.
The bikes are still under warranty and the Techs are not going to measure the oil when they drop it.
Poor clutch function, shifting and finding neutral, how many will pick that up ?

Apparently there are at least six variations of the oil pump, and they have had a few revisions.
I am still seeing complaints about sumping in 2018 models.
S&S and Feuling both have oil pumps out that work, so HD should have the fix soon.
The 2019 oil pump has a different cover assembly and an extra seal.

The 'Stonecold fix' does appear to be the real thing.

S&S and Feuling make some pretty good stuff
the pumps haven't been around long but no reported issues yet

    whats a fact ?

A fact is generally in relation to the spacing between the fuckole and the muckole,
if you get the timing wrong in relation to this positioning then your in the shit,,,,,,and that's a fact.

there is oil's that work well in gear box & also the primary, but if I had a new one I would not touch it while under warranty I'd just ride it.
