Screamin Eagle Springer re-painted

    picked up my bike from Troy at Nightmare Designs
    tank, mirror, indicator, floor board mount fckd
    because this fckwit didn't lock in the side stand fully
    about $3300 for a new tank from the states, so went for a re-paint.
    happy with the results

    OUCH !

    Stock OEM CVO paint sets do come up sporadically , I have seen them several times over the years. All the colours , Inferno Orange / Diamond Black / Anniversary copper

    NEVER of course when you actually "need" them !

    There was a good 2008 tank on ebay USA just 8 months ago. With ebay now doing "global post" the post cost was absolute wanker or I would have bought it ( Diamond Black !!)

    I have also seen "repaints" that were really schmick , "back to OEM" where only the tank needed painting and the guards ( sorry fenders !) stayed OEM

    Back in 2011 , when I was looking hard for a CVO Springer here in WA I came across a 2007 in Amarillo Gold , lovely photos etc etc. Only 8 K's from my house at the time.

    Went over to see it , and sure as fuckery it was a tank and fenders repaint here in WA , no CVO "marbling" etc etc. Seller honestly "did not know"...Aye sure he didn't..

    Turned out the bike was flip flopped into a ditch when only a few months old , 4 years before. Relatively easy history to check it turned out !

    In your case it really only was a "minor scrape" , but I would keep photos of the damage to prove to future buyers it was not a " flip flop" scenario.

    There is one exact same Diamond Black just turned up for sale on Gumtree south of Perth. US import ( like mine !) but it's not mine !

    Your original colour was one of my favourites in the Springer range however the new colours look very good.
