For anyone that has Netflix and enjoys their history, “The Vietnam War” by Ken Burns & Lynn Novick is a bloody good doco series, unbiased and informative, probably about as good a historical account of this sad and brutal part of human history as I’ve seen, starting with the 19th century French occupation right through until the unification, and all in between. Well worth a watch.
    Cheers.

I motorcycled around the south in 2010 and did a 3 week loop on an ‘08 Yamaha Nuovo 135 while I was between jobs. Saigon- Da Lat- Nha Trang- Mue Ne- Vung Tau- Saigon. Managed to find “Nui Dat” where my Dad was based, and found the Long Tan memorial also. That was a very eye opening trip that, at age 29, indelibly changed my life. I’d go back tomorrow and do it again if given the chance.

I second that. Anything by Ken Burns is worth watching.
