The short answer is yes they will be due to exceeding the noise threshold.
The long answer is that you could get away with running a loud exhaust for years without any legal entanglements, or you could get done the day you put them on. Determining factors will include: the officers attitude, your attitude, the way you ride, whether there is a blitz on among others. Effectively you run the gauntlet with aftermarket exhausts, just don’t ride like a cockhead in built up areas and be nice as possible to any cops to give yourself the best chance of a trouble free time.

Thanks for this but I was more curious to kniw about the actual direction (turn out) than the noise itself!

I think I've said this before, if you are worried if things are legal or not this is the wrong game to play.

If you ride in Urban/Suburban Sydney with a HD, YOU WILL GET PULLED OVER. Whether or not it is justified, a "RBT" or you get a Raptor cop on a bad day and get bent over.

Everything is illegal when modified, Police can and will defect a stock bike if they chose to.

Ride it, Get pulled over, Yes sir no sir three bags full sir... cop it on the chin, replace exhaust, clear EPA, put old one back on rinse and repeat.
