Query is what would one do if they misplaced their HD "Super Tuner", but still had code etc? just curious, for a friend of mine, who just had his bike tuned now the silly bugga can"t find his ST.?

It’s odd for anyone to chuck their tuner albeit by mistake, so it’s either at the tuners shop, in his shed or jock drawer. Hopefully the tuner has the tune in his files. A friend had the same issue, told him I’d sell him my spare tuner if it couldn’t find his. 5 months later he found it, so unless your mate needs it in a hurry, I’d hold off. I see  they’re still available on eBay.

Good onya Rat. Thanks for reply.
Thinking he has misplaced, hopefully and all be good. We will clean out every where in his shoebox house, garage to hopefully relocate.
Tuner did excellent job with all other work requested, just little yellow thing in brown box missing from HD to his home.
Isn"t it funny, not just owning a Harley, it"s all the appendages which come with motorcycles you keep, as might need that down the track...Umm, I can use that bugga to reconstruct another item of that. Working offshore decades ago has still given me enough stainless steel bolts/nuts/washers to to "sea sink" me, if attatched.
I do wonder when our type tuners shall not be available? Do you know when they will can the version, that we do not need masks to breathe, fucken wankers ?
    Checking out ebay now.

I have come across bikes , just recently bought used , several times now where the Tuner dongle has been "lost" somehow.

Was especially common with used US imports a while back , no tuner dongle/no spare fob or key/ no handbooks etc etc.

Probably just lack of care along the way with those bulk imports by dealers.

Even happens thru' HD dealers. Another mate just bought an (admittedly well priced low K's very clean) Fatboy with High flow air and exhaust.

I could read the VIN and it had had a reflash with a stage 1 tune already , but no tuner to be traced thru' the selling dealer.

The thought of buying ANOTHER tuner dongle fro a bike that has had one already really really sucks !

Yes indeedy ! The whole TTS "locking" thing will be an ongoing problem for years to come.

Only experienced it once myself. Thankfully I was able to get an "unlock" flash from TTS but it was a MAJOR lengthy pain and I don't want to go thru' it again if possible.

Bike was a 2006 Springer special US lovely low mileage import. Beautiful bike , guy bought it on Holiday in Marina Del Rey at Bartel's HD. Only 5 in Oz , rare thing.

I had to borrow a TTS dongle by mail as part of the messaround. Now he's on Supertuner pro no more worries ( we hope !)

Hey Ret, long as he doesn"t misplace Super Race tuner or what ever they are called now.
    copied from somewhere..........
    Full-featured tuners:
Old ?RaceTuner? was developed by TTS and sold through HD.
TTS left the MOCO umbrella and HD contracted to SPX-Kentmoore to make the ?SuperTuner?.
First ?SuperTuner? was black and had comm issues when used on a dyno.
Second version ?SuperTuner? was orange without comm issues.
Last, newest ?StreetTuner? is black neutered version of the ?SuperTuner? with very little adjustments available. Only those adjustments that EPA emissions laws allow.

Copied info on Full featured tuners 100% correct.

I used to prefer the TTS system over the Supertuner pro hardware and software , but since 2011 have preferred Supertuner Pro
