    I actually follow this guys video channel on youtube.   He makes some interesting videos.   I did actually check my gearbox oil not long ago and found the level down slightly not enough to worry about and just topped it up.   Engine oil was down slightly too.   I put it max 350ml overall between the two.   I know there's a lot of talk about this but I'm not worried.   Couldn't be happier.   Good video.

    Yea I've followed his videos and even emailed him a couple of times, he's a stand up guy.

    A bloke at work bought his first Harley. Its got the M8 motor and he was asking if I knew anything about the new motor. I don't know much about it at all. After wasting 17 minutes of my life watching that video I still know fuck all about it. When he explained he worked for a Harley dealer I knew I should have clicked the stop button.  
    17 minutes of total fukin drivel.  I don't know if this is possible but I think I actually knew more about it before I watched that shit.  
    Why would you post that Pauly?  Did I miss something?

    Life must be good in your little bubble .
    Have a look at the US forums and find out a bit more about it.
    Sales in the US comprise about 2/3 of all sales, so statistics tell us there will be more problems coming to light there.
    The guys over there have grown up with Harleys and are a little bit more aware, although there are still a fair proportion of M8 owners who love the Harley ideal but know nothing about the bike. ( The darlings of the Dealers)
    Buy a new bike and have to check the fluid levels before every ride ??
    Some guys have bought a new bike and have fuck all ride time because it is continually returning to the Dealer or living at the Dealers.
    The problems seem to be related to slacker production tolerances which is the direction the MoCo have been taking us for some time.
    They have done stuff all to address the problems and now we have this video telling us its not really a problem at all because the M8's don't need very much oil in the transmission and it doesn't matter if it all migrates into the primary (where it is only going to affect clutch dragging and shifting).

    Oh don't worry I have been reading up for quite some time on these problems on the Yank forums, I am about to drop a bit of coin on the CVO
    engine and very possibly throw out my warranty , but if I get it right it should be a strong reliable engine with no need for warranty.

    Mostly S&S including pump with a Woods WM8-408 cam.

    That was my original plan but had to keep it at 117 for now, later on just drop on the 124 or 130 cylinders and pistons.

    Only way to go with M8 is aftermarket
    S&S have solved the sumping problems with their oil pump
    Cable clutch is not a problem
    Stonecold on hdforums has developed a fix for transmission fluid transfer with the hydraulic clutch
    Both fixes void the warranty
    The MoCo don't have fixes for anything
    Not too many are interested in giving up their warranty

    I was going to go bigger jugs and a cam after warranty as HD fucked me around with pricing for a SE8 447 cam install but I'm thinking just a cam as it's running so well.
    Why crack the jugs if you don't have to I spose.
    A 117 is larger than my 107 anyways , so it's a better start right there.
    What's your time frame man , any time soon ?

    2 month wait for S&S oil pump and cam plate, been waiting 3 weeks so far, on another note Harley may release a 124 SE kit for the CVOs soon, just maybe.
