Hi all. I'm in the process of fitting a stage 3 103 kit to my 2011 softail. The kit has come with 103 heads with auto compression release holes drilled into them.
    My questions are:
    1. Has anyone on here fitted the ACR to a 2011 96 cube? Does the wiring harness have an allowance for it?

    2. Is there a "plug" available to block the holes temporarily so i can get the bike back on the road and fit the ACR at a later date?

    Thanks for your input!

Beads not sure of the answer to question 1 but i believe you are able to fit manual ACR rather than blocking the holes as you mentioned

    Thanks pauly.
I thought about that but the holes that have been drilled in the heads are right in the middle of the head which wont be accesible once the rockers and covers etc go on.

They aren't expensive, fit them now, otherwise a pain to remove the rocker box later.
Most dealers should have them in stock.
Note, you need a special socket to fit them.

    Cheers mate,
Yeah ill fit them now. Do you know if the wiring is plug and play or a bit more involved?

Is the special socket because of the harness that come out of the release?

yes, the socket needs a cutaway for the wires. I made my own out of a deep socket.
I'm not totally sure about the wiring, bit I do know there is a wiring harness kit available.

70623-06 is the part number you want for the ACR wiring harness. Google -J04210 for the instruction sheet. I think HD have a plug for plugging the holes if you don't want to fiddle with the harness install. I used manual compression releases on my engine, but hey were a pain in the arse so I changed to S&S easy start cams. That limits your cam choices though but the easy start feature is brilliant. - Rob
