    Gents,

there was a very well written full page advertisement in Tasmanias newpapers today by the Tasmanian Motorcycle Council Inc headed Know The True Facts Regarding The Governments New Police Offences Amendment (Prohibited Insignia) Bill 2018, Anti Freedom Laws. It was on p12 of The Examiner on Saturday, July 07.

I'd type it out in full but it would take me three weeks..... worth a read if you can find it.

There was a rally today in Hobart supporting the cause, unfortunately I couldn't make it.

A lot of good feedback. I hope it helps but I have my doubts.

    Roo.

    Its here:  http://www.tasmanianmotorcyclecouncil.org.au/news-submissions/know-the-true-facts.
Some good points made about some bloody sloppy and lazy legislation - they should have specifically called out the clubs they are trying to address instead of unsing a shotgun approach.

You never know, maybe a Labor government might get in and declare the Liberals a criminal organisation and prohibit them from associating with each other...... where does it stop?

It's not the Law Makers and Police who are to blame, sure they make Fucked up Laws, but none of this would be happening if it wasn't for the the Outlaw Clubs, these clubs are the blame for Fucking Up Everything for the Law Abiding Motorcyclist,
I see it as Short Term Pain for Long Term Gain,
Don't get me started on who used to steal our Bikes back in the 70's, especially our Harleys,

I see a lot of iced up kids around here, no patched up gorillas in sight. Don't dare tell me the cops dunno who's dealing.

It's the principle at stake with these laws. If there's a crime, target the crime. Not the clothing a person wears or the people he or she associates with. It's just a lazy political cop out.

    Just saying.

    Amen.
Whatever happened to innocent until PROVEN guilty?
When did hysteria and fear take over?
When did the Oz rider turn into a bleating sheep?

Great believer in the maxims 'Live and let live', 'he who is without sin cast the first stone' ,'people in glass houses ..' and finally, 'Do unto others as you would have them do unto you'.... I wish our masters shared the same sentiments.

If you have any doubt as to the frailty of our entrusted highly paid moral custodians/enforcers - check here.
I dont see any calls for bunching them all under the same restrictions - though their crimes are arguably more heinous due to their job description/vocation.

Clubs don't give a fuck what people wear, as long as you don't try to mock them, or, even vaguely, copy them or pretend you're one of them if you're not.
