Frame differences

So I had my eye on a 2015 Low Rider and took it for a test ride today. I looked under the bike at the frame and found that it would be a real pain to lift with my maintenance stand because they appear to have just thrown a plastic box under the engine (probably the immobiliser) and it protrudes below the frame rails. On one side only, for a bit of protection they have welded on a bit of bar.
Who can suggest a model where I won't have this issue. Super Glides?

There are frame pucks that you can get from harley that give it 4 flat points to lift on.

You can do it with the normal work stands no probs, it just take a bit of trial and error to get it in the right spot. Once you find the sweet spot I marked the bottom of my frame with a texta pen (you cant see it don't worry) and then next time you need to jack it up it's a breeze. I didn't think the extensions were a nessecity, plus 280kg hanging off some unknown tensile strength bolts sorts of weirds me out.

Thanks, I just looked it up on the HD parts area online and checked the models that use it. Seems that Low Riders from 2010 - 2013 aren't listed. What's the possibility those models don't have that lug on the frame and can be put on the lift without mucking around? Or, would it require a different kit for those years?

Maybe there wasn't low riders those years? All the dynas from 06 have the same frames

009jim,i have an 07 lowrider and use a repco lift.
i made 3 spacers from 25m rectangle box tube and bolted these to the 3 points and the frame bar sits on the other point.works fine, have a small tab on each spacer so the frame locates in the right spot.when i lift the wifes suzuki i put a 25mm wood spacer in the 4th point and lift it easy as well.cheers

the OEM harley spacers don't work for me with my 09 dyna because the bike is lowered
not sure that a LowRider will have enough clearance
borrow some and try them before you buy
or you can run the bike up on some bits of timber before you slide the lift under and that is a pain

thanks 98,i forgot one minor point....i use 3 slaps of 5 ply to run the wheels up on and rest the side stand...otherwise its a bit low.no dramas ,works for me.cheers

HD have been using those blocks forever, had them with HD stand for 01 Dyna. a problem I struck, was after a while the orange comes away from the black & can be risky.

I’ve been using the HD orange frame lifts for a few years now on both my evo softails  when I have them
On my lift or proliff jack  good investment no frame scratching    And gives that extra height you
Need for the softail shocks  if you do your own work just another tool to the collection
I just use the orange part which pushes on to the frame  have never used the black parts

the one I have the orange and the black come bonded together, if they are not, you are in trouble using the two together.
