Bikes with yellow vin plate, are they worth looking at? I see a few around but I'm a bit gun shy, thoughts?

Better to buy a Harley made in Australia imo.  Make sure it has the kangaroo logo on it.

Hi Bungle, what bikes are you seeing yellow vin stickers on? Both my Aus complianced HD1 vin bikes have pink stickers.

How about a wombat with the floral tribute, roots and leaves.

Arsehole comments aside , yellow vin stickers usually denote a "personal import" of some type. NOT THE RAWS SYSTEM PINK STICKERS !

Usually this is a guy bringing his own bike to Australia , one he may have owned for a considerable time. I saw a Heritage from Spain for example

From memory ( hazy !) it is one year of ownership + kind of gig. Some folks bring bikes they have owned for 10 years plus.

    I brought a bike . a 1973 that I bought in 1983 , to Australia in 1995.

The "yellow" stickered bikes I have worked on have all been ex-NZ as it happens , as Perth WA has many Kiwi expats

Pink stickered bikes tend to be ex-US for the most part , with a fair few ex-Japan.

I have even seen ex-UK personal import Harleys here in Perth. MPH speed etc etc
