Anyone have any experience running these tyres? They are supposed to good in wet & also long-wearing.

have just put a set on [ 07 lowrider],have only covered a bit over 2,000km so far.
had 401 dunlops on before these and the michelins turn/steer better, particularly in roundabouts.the ride is a lot smoother for the same pressures/roads.
first 1800km was a ride along the murray and over falls creek and hotham,2 up and slightly overloaded but seemed to cope well and temperatures seemed ok,the dunlops ran a bit warmer loaded.
i have noticed some very fine heat cracks just of the "straight " section of tread, will have to keep an eye on these.the bloke who fitted them did good job on the balancer as theres no bar vibes.
one big difference is these tyres dont follow or twitch in "tram tracks " in the road surface like the dunlops, they would take you all over the place...not nice a times.
so far they're good ,will see how we go for wear, got just over 13,000km from the dunlops which probably wasnt too bad.
havent been in the wet yet,so no idea what they're like in the rain.
    cheers.

I ran a few sets on my old Dyna.
    Got sensational mileage
Never had an issue with them in the dry.
In the wet they were a little skatey but predicatble.

    I run Avons now

Have had them on my sportster for a few thousand Kms now. Seem good. Can go into corners with more confidence than the Dunlops (scrape both sides easier/a little faster than previously). Can't comment on wet weather grip as have only encountered minimal light rain so far.
    Cheers, Will

What sizes are you gonna put on Widey? as they do a 90/90 21 but I can't seem to find a 180/60 17 for my wideglide, was thinking of going to at 200/55 17 but tyre techo said it was too wide for the standard rear rim, let us know how you go, I have heard some good reviews about these Commander 2's from the USA HD forums

Been running the Commander 2 tyres both ends for past 5 years. Last front got well over 22000km but last rear i got puncture on my lap of Oz in 2015. And could only get a Dunlop Americana Elite on rear.  Still great tyre.
Commander 2, no probs wet or dry. Never felt uneasy.
Americana Elite, same, good wet or dry

timely post for myself, had a bit of an arse tightening moment last week coming down one of my favourite mountains when the back end locked and slipped sideways putting me into the other lane - luckily nothing coming the other way and dumb luck was on my side so I didn't drop it, but don't have a lot of confidence in the standard HD dunlops in the wet weather, have had the rear skate a couple of times now. Only have 11500kms on them, but the rear is cupping already and always checked/maintained tyre pressures, and heading to Tassie later in the year with missus so was starting to look around. Both the MC II and American Elite get mostly good reviews, had Avons on the old Fatboy and always hung on well, just wouldn't expect any sort of reasonable mileage on a heavier tourer?

Had both the stock and Commander 2, now run Avons and wouldn't go back to the Commanders as the Avon Cobras are miles better.

Doc had a few tyres on my street glide and now have an American Elite, far better than the std and funnily is wearing out the sides rather than the middle.

I have a 16" rear wheel on my '96WG, the tyre width just 130mm (old-school look).
    Front tyre is 90/90-21.
