114 Fat Bob & Fat Boy transmissions

Hello all, I have a 2018 114 Fat Boy with about 3800kms on it, I dropped it into the dealer the other day to fix the cruise control, it stopped working... anyway the loan bike they gave me was a new 114 Fat Bob with 800kms on it. Are the transmissions in both bike identical? because the Fat Bob's was soooooo much smoother like butter, and finding neutral was a breeze every time. It was chalk and cheese, night and day. Its got nothing to do with break in as the Fat Bob had only 800kms on it and mine has 3800.

The 114 Fat Boy I test road had a very clunky trani. When you look at the bike specs all the ratios are the same so I’d presume they have the same trani.
Maybe clutch adjustment?

PaulT , if you can get some Redline heavy shock proof gear box oil drain yours use that I'll bet it feels a lot better.

I thought of the tranny oil but mine as Amsoil in it you'd think that'd be sweet. Maybe Syn3 or Redline is better in this case. Clutch adjustment should be fine it had its first service not so long ago.

My 103 runs fine with the HD tranny oil. Had Syn3 in there once and it was garbage. Never again. I’d give Redline a crack but happy as is.

What did the dealer say when you asked them about the difference?
