SF - is that a crack in the middle of the cross-member? Maybe its just a mark?

You had enough other parts to focus on, I was simply standing on the outside looking in (and seeing something that wasn't actually there).

Yeah, well done - you've also saved yourself a few hundred bucks in labour costs. Better to use that cash on more bike parts goodies & beer.

    Good Stuff, SF!!
Looks a bit like the rubber mounts my ol carb Buell uses.
My sporty a Rigid mount, does not seem to vibrate to me. but I started out on Rigid mount motor big twins ( they vibrate but I got used to it )
the rigid sporty seems to handle better as no rubber flex. I had that with dyna too, I broke the rear rubber mount on the Dyna at drags wobble!!!! the trick was use throttle wide open and rear brake at same time.
    great tech info!!

    I like your bike!!

It will be sweet mate they are a nice motor, straight valve train, big pin crank n lighter flywheels. good oiling system too now big twins following with oil cooling like your XR.
post up how it feels, I got a German made stencil bar on my Buell night & day improvement, stops forward to rear movement I have four side to side stabilisers and one forward to rear, & it helps rubber mounts too.
