Good on ya for posting in his memory Chriso. Whatever you do, don't wait to long to get yourself another buddy. It'll make the pain go away so much faster once you have a new dog.

Sorry about your old mate Chriso. My ol fella. Over 13 now and struggling with arthritis and a few other things. Gets all the smackos and treats he can eat these days. Sad but he wont be around much longer.

Chriso, sorry for your loss, realise where you are coming from bloke.
Dogs have been my best mates too, unfortuately, life span is too bloody short.
Current mate is a rescue boy, Amstaff, sitting on my foot as typing this, maybe love, maybe near teatime.lol
Know some say , ah, is only a dog, that"s bullshit, they have helped me a few times through bad shit..
Hard to think of, but do get another canine mate, soon. Iv'e outlived five good buggas, who I wished were still here.
My avitar is my rescue mate, "Rusty" a course, bloody hell, he is attatched to me so much, like glue.

This one was my 4th dog.
    55 kilo German shep.
No friggin way were the mormons ever going to get out of their car when I had this ripper. Little did they know she would not've bit em.

This " Pure bred mongrel" is my current dog.
A rescue dog that was 6 weeks old when I got her. Just hates other dogs and is suspicious of most people. Of course loves wifey and I and a few select others.
If a wallaby gets trapped inside the paddocks here this little killer will fix the problem in a jiffy.
Picture shows her with an orphaned lamb we had. The lamb absolutely loved the dog and would follow it around however the dog just hated the lamb and only wanted to kill it which is why it is muzzled. There is a lesson in there somewhere, or a reflection on human relationships perhaps.
