Planning a tweak or two on the Sporty and here is where I'm leaning at the moment.  Any thoughts from anyone?  I'm in two minds on the seat shape, although I do want the sissy bar height at the back (its a bugger getting the look balance when your not dealing with a hard-tail frame, but there is no way my back would hold up more than a few km's with a rigid)

I like that, although the helmet is a bit OTT

Stage 1 pretty much done....  Now its either the seat or handlebars (leaning to the handlebars this weekend)

I know everyone is against the hardtail idea but there's a bike almost exactly like what you're wanting to build for sale at the moment.

I think there may be just a few things stopping it getting a roadworthy slip though.....

    Nice bike...

My one is a daily ride all year round and most of that 'could' be lane splitting on the motorway (but I would never do that as its illegal), so I need good stopping power and decent suspension as my old back would fail after a few km's on a rigid.  Plus the bars, tank and pipes all look chit on that chopper - I hate coffin tanks for some odd reason.

I agree on some points, but disagree it’s gotta be hard tail.

While I like the clean lines of a hardtail (especially in the mounting of the sissy bar) they are as practical as 26" front wheels.

I like the sprung rear end with covers over the shocks; looks old school enough for me and a comfortable ride.
