H&H....Absolutely right...went for the 260mm Metzler rear! Feels like  I'm back on the Ninga! Maybe its a mind game..lol...but corners a truckload better!

How does that work then? I’ve got sweet FA experience but after riding a mates old Dyna I know that mine doesn’t like corners like his does. I thought it was because of the fat rear tyre. So shouldn’t it mean that going fatter again means it’s not going to like corners even more?
BTW, I’m just home from getting a 250mm rear myself  :-)

As it was explained to me during purchase, the standard 240mm...is more bell end shaped to describe it. The 260mm is more optical on the edge [ not sure if you see that in the pic]?
The standard 240mm side wall tends to stiffen due to shape, thus wont allow the edge of the tyre to roll with the side wall!  Like all big arse's they handle like shit at low speed! As they say with the Breakout..."Fast to corner...and very slow out"!  Done nearly 600k's since last Friday when fitted...and find yet again I have to adjust my riding technique for corners, but now I feel more comfortable, reminds me of some of my Jap bikes of the past.
Do you notice a difference with the 250mm??
    Cheers

Ahhh I see. Cheers gents. That makes total sense!!!
I haven’t had a chance to text it Steve. The roads were soaking wet on my way home and there was a huge black cloud rolling in. I made a B line for home. I’m keen to get out on my next day off though.

Mate I'm no engineer, all I can vouch for is 16 thousand K's from a Factory Dunlop 240mm, then fitting a 260mm rear Metzler...is a huge difference in the corners!
Did 375k's today and I feel like I'm back on a Jap Slapper!...Maybe its a mind set [not sure]...but having said that the front is a factory Dunlop still has heaps of tread, incl. sides and is close to 18k's....go figure?

    Cheers
